On March 9th Mr R.H. Scott secretary to the meteorological office (brother to our present head-master) came down and gave us a most interesting lecture on distribution of temperature.
On Frid: Feb: 6th: Mr Robert Scott F.R.S. treated us to a lecture on “Meteorological Phenomena”; explaining amongst other things the oyster which is [pursued?] in the construction of the daily weather charts for the papers.
