The play was performed very successfully this year, in spite of Waterfield’s Mishap. On the first Night some TBB thought good to make themselves objectionable by clapping in time & shouting. About a week before the first night of the play H. Waterfield Captain of Q.SS broke the bone of his little toe in a football match & was therefore unable to take part in the play.

Mr Turle the organist at the Abbey having died his house falls to the School. We shall thus be able probably to connect Ashburnham House to Great School by the House which is to be build to replace Mr Turles which the authorities think must be pulled down.

On Oct 14 The School played Old Westminsters’ winning 3 goals to 2 & on the 25th beat Reigate Priory
The Athletic Sports were held this year on Oct 11th & 12th amid truly English weather. 1st Day The weather having slightly moderated towards 12 o’clock Westminster assembled at Vincent Square & the Athletics commenced.
