Some new regulations have been made this term about bounds. By these new regulations Clare’s, the stores, the Houses of Parliament & other shops (I am giving the words of the rule) are all out of bounds & anyone going to them requires a signed order from his house master. The monitors cannot now in consequence give leave out of bounds as before. Rutherford declares that the monitors ought to be patterns to the whole school & takes care that they shall be so by never giving them any more however than he can help.
