The new Head Master has certainly come in like a lion. I hope he will go out like a lamb, but I am afraid not. On the first morning of the term the Dean brought him up School and after he had prayed for him (very necessary) he inducted him. After prayers on his very first day, he bullied a fellow in the VIth for having his hands in his pockets. A good beginning!! In the course of the next week he at intervals boxed fellows’ ears and generally got himself disliked. But as time goes on he greatly improves and I think will become very popular in time. He certainly means to make the fellows work.
