An epidemic of “Russian” influenza (“La Grippe”) spread all over Europe at this time, it was fatal to great numbers. Westminster was much thinned for some time, but most of the school died. The Head Master was among the sufferers. I think this may be of interest to posterity; the epidemic came about at intervals…
