Rutherford made me captain of the School this year on the ground that there was no other Q.S. high enough in the Vith to fill the host. I have always thought & still think that the system by which I became one of the School monitors was a mistaken one, & i think there are still greater objections in the present instance. If Rutherford intends to put T.B.B. & Q.S.S. on exactly the same footing on these matters, I think that he should confine his choice to boarders who are heads of houses. A school captain ought at least to be a head of a house & to be always present, so as to be able to know what is going on.
