During the Whitsuntide holy days of this year (1821) Dr Goodenough’s marriage with Miss F. Cockrell took place. A copy of verses was given to the Doctor previous to the holy days requesting the addition of a week on the happy occasion: to which Dr G answered it was absolutely out of his power to grant the request. The school however did not meet till the Wednesday instead of the Monday.
