On Thursday January 3rd Mr Rutherford was married in the Abbey to Miss Constance Reuton. As a wedding present the members of the school gave him a revolving book-case.

The play this year was the Trinummus of Plautus. The Prologue was written by Mr C.E. Freeman & the Epilogue by Mr E.B. Arnold. The cast was as follows – J.A.R. Brooke – Megaronides C.J. Shebbeare – Callicles S.A. Clarke – Lysiteles C.C.J. Webb – Philto H.P. Lowe – Lisbonicus Stasimus – M M.R. Belthune…
On the 16th November the Rev. W. Failes family was increased by a daughter.
About the middle of this term all the lesser divisions of forms were abolished, thus making progress up the school quicker. But it is rather hard on fellows in the lower division who might have got prizes.
The Dean’s Grk Testament Prize has been awarded to C.C.J. Webb, as also has the Ireland Verse prize. The Mure scholarship has been gained by A.M.T. Jackson; Prox. Acc. F.H. Coller Q.S. Webb also won the Ireland Verse Prize.
The Games Athletic Committee this term consisted of – C.C.J. Webb (capt), A.M.T. Jackson (Pr. Opp) secretary, A.E. Bedford (Treasurer), S.H. Clarke (Q.S), C.B. Tritton, R. Vavasseur Q.S. + R.A.
