On the 5th of August the annual match was played between the TB. and KS. Which was won by the latter with 10 wickets to go down.

A handsome silver Tankard was presented, in this match, by Sir John de Beauvoir, a Member of the old Westminster Cricket Club, to whoever should beat the field on the losing side.  It was won by a Town boy of the name of Jesson.

The Luncheon was this year supplied by Waud of Bond St. but in a manner that failed to give general satisfaction.
