No. 445

On July 16th the eight rowed a scratch eight of the Leander B.C. composed of several good university oars, mostly Ch: Ch: men. It was a neck and neck race until the Brewery was reached, when our coxswain pressing them into the Middlesex shore enabled us to gain a slight lead; our training here began to tell, and we eventually won by three lengths, the crews were:

In the Final Heat Brandon has the Middlesex station and won easily from F.G. Clarke’s boat by three lengths.

Junior Sculls were won by E.C. Frere TB, and the Senior after a fowl, by E.T.H. Brandon QS.
