House Matches First Round. HBB beat Grant’s 9-0. This easy victory for HBB was a great surprise. Rigaud’s beat HBB 2-0, after a match which lasted 2 ½ hours of actual play. A new school paper has been started, called the Martlet, 3d monthly. It is avowedly of different character from the Elizabethan & disclaims all rivalry. The Charterhouse match took place on Sat, Feb. 25, at Godalming & ended in a victory for Charterhouse by 5-0. I was out of School at the time of the match , and so cannot criticise the play.
