On July 16th<\/sup><\/u> the eight rowed a scratch eight of the Leander B.C. composed of several good university oars, mostly Ch: Ch: men. It was a neck and neck race until the Brewery was reached, when our coxswain pressing them into the Middlesex shore enabled us to gain a slight lead; our training here began to tell, and we eventually won by three lengths, the crews were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
