The subjects for the Whitsuntide exam. This year were:- Homer, Iliad. X,XI,XII Virgil, Æneid. X,XI,XII. Platonis, Phœdo. Æschylus, Chœphoræ Horace. Odes I. II. Livy. V. Greek Testament Westcolt’s “Introductionto the Study of the Bible.” Sewell & Yonge’s “Historical Selections.”
The Wire and the Wooden were both won this year by Q.S.S. The Wooden falling to F. Saunders Q.S. who also won it in the previous year. The Wire was won by Barron Q.S. Oswell Macleay. Prin. Opp.
The T. B. v Q. S. foot ball match was played in the 17th of February and resulted in an easy victory for the Q.S.S. who had ten out of the eleven. The Q.S.S. got 6 games to 0.

The Q. S.s performed the play of Phormio this Christmas: the chief characters were played by Haden who represented Demipho, O’Brien to whom the part of Geta was entrusted, Northcote being Phormio. There had been for some time a discussion, concerning fagging, tanning and other matters connected with the discipline of the Seniors.
